The Hyundai R850LC-9 is a heavy-duty crawler excavator designed for high-capacity mining and bulk earthmoving, weighing 84,000 kg and equipped with a 4.5 m³ heavy-duty rock bucket.

Powered by a Cummins QSX15 engine producing 510 HP (380 kW) gross power, the R850LC-9 provides the strength to break through tough materials while maintaining fast, consistent production in the most demanding environments.

Performance and Production Efficiency

The R850LC-9 utilizes the Computer Aided Power Optimization (CAPO) system to synchronize engine and hydraulic performance. This system continuously monitors operational data to automatically adjust pump flow, ensuring the machine delivers only the power required for the specific task at hand, maximizing fuel efficiency.

Operators can further refine performance using specific power modes: Power (P) for maximum production, Standard (S) for balanced fuel economy, and Economy (E) for precise control during lighter tasks. When precise settings are required, the operator can select User (U) mode to customize engine speed, pump output, idle speed, and other machine settings for the job at hand. This allows the machine to operate efficiently whether performing mass excavation or detailed site work.
